The HD New Year & Pluto's Major Move

Start a new chapter on January 21st

Hiya! It’s been forever since I’ve been in your inbox.

I haven’t been feeling very inspired to write this newsletter. I only want to write something here when it feels right and that’s what I did.

Today’s the day I feel I have something to contribute.

In this edition: The new year in HD and a major, era-defining move by Pluto. Keep an eye out for January 21st. 🌑

Plus: see the end of this email for 3 spots for readings.

The New Year in HD & Pluto

Have you been feeling meh and sluggish, too, this week?

This year has been off to a funky start, overall. A little go, a lot of waiting, cleaning up, and feeling stuck. At least, that’s been the case for me and what I’ve heard from other people around me.

🌑🌑🌑

Let’s unpack this:

1.21: The Start of the HD New Year

If you’ve been feeling sluggish, this may be why: We’re in the HD equivalent of the post-holiday, pre-New-Year’s-Eve daze. Only that it’s January and that’s hard, because it feels like it should be go-time as per the societal standard.

The new year in Human Design doesn’t start on 1.1 but 1.21 or 1.22 (depending on the time zone, year, etc.). Hurray. Another new year, another new opportunity to start fresh.

What it means for you:

If you feel the need to go slower, do it. There’s no point in going against the grain and forcing things. Do what needs to be done, not more.

🌑🌑🌑

🌑 Pluto’s Major Move

What’s most interesting to me is that on the same day of the HD new year, Pluto will also move into Aquarius. Boom!

The past Pluto era in Capricorn since 2008 has been shaking up our structures (Cap themes) in numerous way. The new one in Aquarius will touch on community, technology, and our roles as individuals vs. the collective. How that will shake out - who knows!

Btw: Pluto will dip back into Capricorn one last time in fall from 9.3-11.20. Then, that’s it until the next Pluto cycle starts in 2043 with its move into Pisces.

When you google this, beware, because the majority of takes I’ve seen on this are either absolutely dystopian and cataclysmic or so optimistically utopian their lack of connection with reality frightens me. A preview of the next two decades, maybe? Aquarius can have black-and-white thinking, for sure.

Like a volcano, you never know what Pluto is cooking up in the underworld. Wherever it touches, it brings transformation to this arena.

Mostly, I feel these changes are like incoming ocean waves. Whether and how you decide to surf them, is up to you. Pluto might push you on the board, though, when it’s necessary - irrespective if you want to or not. It’s for your best, though, so you can change, heal, and grow.

And with everything and anything in spirituality, remember that we have free will. Maybe your experience of this week, for example, is totally different from mine. Just because this perspective shows up in your inbox, doesn’t mean it’s a template for your reality. It’s an option.

What you can do:

As we’re surfing the last Pluto in Capricorn waves, it might be a good time to check on where you need to polish up structures in your life or business.

I feel vastly hesitant to start anything fresh right now. However, I have a couple of processes I’ve been wanting to set up in Notion for a while and might do that and other related things, instead. There’s no point in going against the grain.

🌑🌑🌑

A parting confession: I still feel a little weird writing a newsletter that’s related to spirituality. I still feel a stigma around it and that feels challenging.

I’m so curious about this side of life, though, and what I keep learning about it, that I want to share about it (when it feels right). I suppose this is a good learning opportunity to transcend my fears of being judged.

A good intention for the new-new year, maybe?

Talk soon,

Johanna
